Guide Image

Hi everyone,
This is one of the people we can use as a guide in the maze. Personally, I think it turned out terribly and I spent far too long on it as well. I don't know why, I think I must have gone out of my way to make life difficult for myself. Anyway, I've posted to files, one is a jpeg so you can have a quick look, and the other is an .ai file that I would like someone to check if works in illustrator.
Can I please get some feedback on the image? I'm not sure what type of reaction I'll get in terms of judging it's quality, so let me know.If anyone really doesn't like it, I can try some rotoscoping to amp the quality Thanks
